i have been given a assignment i have to produce an overall truth table for the 7 segment display covering the 16 possible inputs and outputs for all 7 segments. That bit was easy now i am doing the proof table not having much look can anyone help?

Is this a programming problem or just a general question?

a 7-seg display would have 128 different "possible inputs". Do you mean the 16 characters that would be used to display Hexidecimal?

Would you be willing to post how you solved this problem and maybe a little more details about it.
Just for the simple fact that it could benifit someone else in the future.

okay, if there's anyone out there wondering about the solution...
a 7 segment display is something like this :
http://upload.wikime...labeled.svg.png
as you can see, there are 7 lines, 7 outputs. each output will be showing whether the corresponding line will appear or not.
so, for those value, write a truth table.
create their k-maps, and consequently their designs.
there you go!
