I expect that threads stay open in case there is some stunning new information about the topic...as for still being open, I don't know that I'd eat a year old pizza just because it was still a pizza. A little restraint is sometimes required.

The Dream In Code community has over 10,386 threads, the administrators here have a life outside this website, we can't and we're not going to try to work around the clock closing old threads just to prevent people that don't use common sence from digging them up.

Some threads have exceptions, but many do not.
