VB.NET Web Browser

Posted 14 February 2009 - 01:19 PM

Hey guys,

I have been working on a VB Webbrowser for a couple of months and I would really like some feedback. The browser is called NetCab, and is currently in the Beta stage.

Features:
Office 07 Ribbon Bar Design
Note Taker
Browser Locking (I cant really explain so try it out in the app :] )
Displays current URL and document title
... and many other great features!

Also, the source is available if you want to see how it works or if you want to modify it
Link
Thanks in advance :)

Personal projects should be posted in the Share Your Project forum:

Anyway, I checked the web site. Generally, it looks good, however, I don't think that the ribbon toolbar makes sense in its current implementation in your web browser. However, the interface looks clear. What the 'Trial Version' label means in the upright corner of the browser window? I would assume that it is somehow connected to the ribbon toolbar. If it is, I would recommend buying the control because it doesn't look good on a product that is planned to be distributed.

I assume you are using the built-in WebBrowser Control? If so, (no offense) you havn't created a web browser at all! You have just created a different UI around Internet Explorer. All you really have here is a couple of buttons and a tab control, not an actual web browser.
