So I got the PS2 hooked up the bedrom to watch DVDs. Problem is, when watching DVDs, the damn thing shifts brightness in cycles while watching (if you've seen it, you *know* how annoying it is).

So my question is, anyone find a fix for this (other than to buy a real DVD player & shit can the PS2 (other than games))?

Ive never had that problem before, I used my PS 2 for playing DVDs for 1 -2 years, recently I got a new home theater system in my room that has a DVD player so I use that now, you can get a standalone DVD player for as cheap as $38.00 now, maybe cheaper, and they ushally work really good too..

are you using a vcr as a passthrough? if so thats what, i had that problem too. but with my accually dvd player and my old livingroom tv, once we got the new tv it worked great.
