I just got back from testing, resetting, and retesting. It seems my router doesn't use 192.168.0.1 anymore.
I'm going to take a closer look at d-links site and see what they say. Maybe a firmware update will fix this....I hope...

From a command prompt Type IP config look for the default gateway that is your router Unless you have disabled DHCP and tried to set up static Ip addresses. Your IP address should be something like this 192.168.0.2
DHCP is your frend Because when it dosent work you know it because windows will say you hava a 168 Ip address.

The other common option for non-routable intranets is 10.0.0.x

Apparently I wasn't holding the reset button long enough.
I think ATM, the router is setup so it "splits" the connection. Not completely sure, but I assume so since I can't access it ATM.
Doh. I forgot to upgrade the firmware. Laterz.

Yes I know it's old, but I just wanted to say, I FINALLY got this thing to work right.
It's quite amazing what one can do when they lack an internet connection. Well, I found out that I did have it done correctly. However the router was blocking everything from and to any IP. So after I changed those settings, it worked just fine!
Oh I am so happy now!
