I like everything but IE. I've used Opera before too. There really doesn't seem to be that much difference between the non-IE browsers. Because of that, I pick FireFox for its simple interface and being cute.

Unless I am mistaken it is still the most common browser.
FF wins...
Those statistics are for W3 pages only.

Not sure where i heard this from but i'm pretty sure that FF owns 60% of the browser "market share".
I'm not sure where you read that either, but I would have to classify it as grossly incorrect. Keep in mind I am not an IE user at all, but it does certainly still comprise the majority share of the browser market. That share continues to shrink as alternatives are made available, but it's much closer to say that FF owns 20% of the browser market. Even that is aggressive, but much closer.

In interface design class we use IE when we are explaining terrible interfaces. How can you even think that? It's so counter-intuitive it's not even funny!

I'm confused. It sounds like you are agreeing with me? Yet you don't know why I think IE is terrible? Huh?

Internet Explorer is quite popular. I use it for my everyday needs and it never crashed. However, same as PsychoCoder mentioned, several times Firefox encountered problems either while loading the application or when a page was loading (the application just 'froze') - without any third-party plug-ins installed. Just my opinion, but I think that all browsers have their pluses and minuses, and it doesn't really matter if it is Firefox or Internet Explorer. Someone who used Internet Explorer for a pretty long time will defend it, same applies to any other user of any other browser.

Internet Exploder doesn't crash for me, it just runs very, very slow and does all sorts of things I don't know.
There's a reason I like open source software sometimes.
