Just for FYI - to the thread started I remember this exact issue a few months back.
I like Inuyasha also but it was rather drawn out.
I miss Voltron 80's Anime FTW!
Also - there was an old 80's cartoon I loved, not Anime though
Mysterious Cities of Gold it had one of the best opening theme songs which you can watch via my link.

You know, it's not that I don't like anime.. It's more of the fact that one time a friend of mine made me sit through about 2 or 3 full seasons of Outlaw Star. All I did was sit there looking at a teeny weeny TV screen and smoked a bunch of weed for about 10+ hours.. Needless to say I got a little bit freaked out, uncomfortable, got up really quick and left. Since then whenever I think of anime it makes me feel uncomfortable. Also how I kind of feel towards 80's pop image/look. I can't explain it. It's like nails on a fucking chalk board.

Too many to name...
Cowboy Bebop and Gundam Wing are my all time favorites.
Thank god no one has said inuyasha.

No because even though I am 31 I still cannot do it with a straight face. Believe me I have wanted to badly. I even used to work in a family video and had a hard time renting porn out to old men without cracking a grin.

the best show to ever, and I mean ever, is FLCL. It is as if a higher power tried to apologise for the fact that I cannot fly and have no shiny adamantium claws.

Best series I've seen in a while is Mushi shi.
Anything by Miyazaki Hayao (Spirited Away) and Kon Satoshi (Paprika). When they're good, they're the best. Even when they're bad they're still better than most.
I liked Last Exile. Strangely, if there hadn't actually been a Last Exile it would have been much better. Japanese steampunk is kind of fun, Steamboy is exceptional.
I'll admit to still following Bleach, I don't know why, I just can't help myself.
Death Note was really good, at the beginning. Code Geas seemed to be an exercise in every conceivable anime cliche, with Death Note as an inspiration.
Desert Punk was an awful, misogynistic, mess. It's started out mediocre but promising and death spiraled into apathetic drivel. At some point, the "protagonist" locks a female rival in a deserted complex and pleasures himself while secretly watching her. It isn't hentai, merely pathetic.

Oh yes I didn't mention it, but me liking Miyazaki Hayao is pretty much a given. There are really, really hard to find Animes that are all-around good and not just plain stupid or have way too many episodes.

My god...there is more than 1 person in the world, (only one I knew was some kid that lived down my street) that likes that show...
No plot...what like, 6, episodes?
I hate that show with a passion.
