i'm currently tossing this one up. i love me some raviolli but you can't really eat those without sauce, while tortellini on the other hand is edible w/o sauce if you need it to be do to the better cheese to spaghetti ratio.

Raviolis are good. But only if they are 100% homemade!

Spaghetti==ravioli? Planet capty is a strange place indeed.
Even though you can't technically fill spaghetti with cheese, I'll vote for pasta alla carbonara, which at least is often made with spaghetti, as well as cheese (romano), eggs, pepper, and some kind of fatty pig bit. Italians use guanciale or pancetta, but I'll often go with thick cut fat back (bacon), lardon style. It's gloriously cheesy and rich, makes alfredo look anemic by comparison.

I don't remember what he calls them, but my uncle makes a type of pasta that is sort f like a torellini, but about 4-5 times larger. He covers them in a sausage or shrimp carbonara sauce. It is sooooooo good. Haven't had it in about 5 years(He lives in NY)

There is a pizza baked spaghetti dish at a local restaurant that is awesome.

lasagna sucks.
<takes off glove and slaps capty99 across face/> You sir, have no taste.
All that layered goodness just melts in my mouth, how can you not like it?
And to be honest, I love all types of noodle and sauce combos. I cannot settle for just one.

Agreed. I'll eat either one over lasagna.

reasons lasagna sucks : when you eat it all you get is a pile of slippery pasta and a pile of slippery meat/cheese or whatever you put in it.

LOL, I see, you hate bad lasagna. That's fair.
Most Americans use too much bloody red stuff in all pasta. If red sauce is used sparingly, then the cheesy goodness glues everything together; no sliding. A thick white cheese sauce like you find in some mac and cheese casseroles also helps a lot. Or just make sure you squeeze the crap out of the ricotta. The trick is, too much liquid of any type makes for a slip and slide.
Along the same lines, there is a Jewish noodle dish called kugel, which I love. It's like a cheese noodle brownie, it's so dense. I've had it sweet and savory.
