Can you site references for these claims? I'd be rather interested to read more.

Some people feel so confident about their product, they invite criticism. Most of these people are uninformed about their beliefs or refuse to see the facts for what they are. I have seen Intel's intentions and where their loyalties lie, and I will only buy Intel when AMD is gone.

Geez, do you work for Intel? Chill.
Yeah, we all will because that'll be the only chip maker left. lmfao.

Yeah, and that's pretty scary; especially considering that Microsoft and Intel were also, reportedly, doing some pretty unfair business not too long ago. Seems Windows at one time was giving unfair advantage to Intel chipsets in their operating system. Would you like me to find some proof of that too?
Bad thing about it is, our country (USA) is based on a free-enterprise economy, and encouraging monopolies is detrimental to that end.

Cause i did have my mind set
but i didn't want to go for what I'm
used to it. I wanted to see some
feedback about AMD and Intel, see
if it was wise to switch or stay.

i prefer intel.
but this is what i heard from a computer guy up town.
he said amd is better for gaming and cheaper, because it send information at a constant stream, like you would need for games.
but intel is better for programs and rapidly opening windows and everything else in general.
i love intel and would never buy an amd unless i was short on cash.

if you use linux most tiems you gotta download a seperate version for amd. (ubutnu does)

If you want to use a fine tuned kernel that runs specifically for your processor, then you need to compile it as such. Since most average Joe's use Ubuntu, & most PCs run on AMD or Intel, then they offer AMD, Intel, or either in 64 bit version for download. Most Ubuntu users are not going to compile their own Kernel. They might press the update button & head to the fridge.
