Oh, your putting up online now? Are you still working prints of that? Last time I think you were passing out prints at school, did you continue on at IU?

Yeah, I still do the zine. I'm doing another issue in late February. The only reason I made it affiliated with high school (history: I designed a class for high school to do this publication) was to get money from the school. I've gotten to the point where I don't need money from any other source now, but school takes up a lot of my time as it stands, now. But the new issue should be out soon.

Over the summer, I decided to start a label with my friend Phillip. Since the zine was kind of getting some attention, we just decided to use the same name. Our first release came out the day after Christmas, a Phoenix Bodies / The Dream is Dead split 7". Next, we're doing a 7" from Adonis Battlefield, and then a CDEP with Wasteland DC. The main reason I need to get the site up is so that I can get the paypal shop up and running for the label. That way when people order, the money will go straight into the Melting Wing bank account, as opposed to going into mine, then me throwing the Melting Wing money into its respective account, as keeping track of that is a pain in the ass.

But yeah, I'll more than likely have it done before the weak ends.

P.S. There has been a website for a while now, http://www.meltingwing.com, but it's not super up-to-date, and I'm not really into the design of it a bunch.

I attached the rough draft of the new site I made. Just to clarify (since this isn't my site check, just a basic idea)...
- I'm making the design wider and a tiny bit taller so there will be more dead space.
- I'm changing the meximarks a little bit in color so they don't looke like "iLABEL!"
- Please don't critique every single part of this yet. You can say yay or nay, but it's not the final version of the site. Just wait a bit for it.

congrats on the success of things Luke. Are you guys recording bands, or just a label? If you ever are need of recording space for you or any of your bands, our studio is built up and I'd be glad to have you over next time your in Indy to check it out.

We don't record the bands (although we've paid for it before), but we press the records and sell them, etc. The Wasteland DC stuff was recorded by Mike Bridavsky, who interned with Steve Albini (read: he's really fucking good). You should check out the mp3s (no wasteland dc mp3 up yet). http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/11483/

Do you equipment to press records?? If so, we might be interested in paying you for your services(the sexual ones too) in the future. If not, but you do have connections to cheap vinyl pressing, I may be talking to you in the future. I'll listen to Steve Albini during my lunch today.

If you listen to any Stevel Albini project, listen to Shellac. That band is amazing. We don't have any of the pressing equipment (seeing as how we don't have a billion dollars or the skills of how to press), but we get our records mastered through Bonati Mastering, Plated at Aardvark Mastering, and pressed at Erika Records. I'll post a link sometime soon to all of those and just generally how it works.
