Qucik Math question!

Posted 16 April 2009 - 01:24 PM

I am tired of seeing this information

"Each byte is sent at 31,250 baud and occupies 10 bits;.. So 3,125 bytes can be sent each second, or each byte takes 320 microseconds to transmit"

I would like to see the math which gives the answer 320 microseconds to transmit each byte.

Can anyone help??

Thanks a bunch

A local retard!

Transmit Time=1 /(Baud Rate / (Bits For Each Byte))

Transmit Time = 1/ (31250 / 10)
=1/(3125)
=0.00032 Seconds
3.2 x 10^-4 Seconds

or 320 msec
